Highly recommended!” However, like any gem, there’s always room for polishing—increasing staff training could further elevate the service experience.

While Imperial Shanghai Lamian & Xiao Long Bao boasts impressive culinary fare, some diners have pointed out minor areas for improvement. A suggestion for the team could be to better manage orders during peak times and to confirm with diners regarding preferences, particularly in noodle lengths, an integral part of the dish’s personality.

In conclusion, with vibrant flavors, a delightful atmosphere, and an earnest commitment to quality, Imperial Shanghai Lamian & Xiao Long Bao stands out as a must-visit dining destination in Jakarta. Whether you're a noodle aficionado or a dumpling devotee, this restaurant promises a memorable experience that will have you returning for more.

Absolutely exquisite!! You can reserve a private room if you have a large family and will spend 3 million Rupiahs. Expect the best service from the staff. This is a meal to remember for a long time to come. Highly recommended!!

Food is above average but definitely not the tastiest I've ever tasted. What stood out for me were the beef black pepper and also mayonaise shrimp. The service is a bit slow in taking and delivering our orders. (However it was during rush hour when I came by so that might be why). What irks me the most was there's an unpleasant smell which I didn't know where it came from (I'm guessing from the floor or the table). The price was a little bit on the expensive side. However, it still makes sense given its location.

My usual chinese spot in PI. Service is 5/5 ALWAYS. Attentive, fast, just great! Atmosphere is crowded but not too noisy. Lots of family. Food, is GOOD. I almost give it 5/5 but there’s always room for improvement. My usual, XO Carrot Cake. Perfect blend of sweet and savory, egg thread can be more moist, radish can be more crispy but that’s just nitpicking on my side. Prawn Mayonnaise, Prawns are thick inside but crispy outside. They fried it right I can even still taste the juice. Mayo is delicious. Fried Lamian with Chicken. Can be better, missing WOKHEI which is critical in any stir-fried cookings. Panfried XLB, I think they call it Shanghai dumpling. I like the crispy, fried feeling of the skin but the soup fell short of my expectation. Will travel miles to eat here again, since they are just that good.

The food was superb! I particularly loved the Wu Xi Crispy Eel, Cucumber Garlic Pickle was refreshing, Chicken Kuo Tie was delicious with a crispy outside and moist inside, and the crab Xiao Long Bao was satisfying. However, the service needs improvement. Our order was mixed up - one dish never arrived, after we asked one of the server, the server didn't seem to have taken note of it. Meanwhile, another dish we didn't order was served to our table. Unfortunately, there was no apology from the service team.

Been coming here for years and the food never disappoints but one issue is that they started cutting the noodles. Noddles shouldn’t be this short (I usually tell the waiter to not cut my noddles but this time they didn’t hear me). It would be great if you could train your waiters to ask the customers whether they would like their noodles cut.

Yummy Chinese ???????? Food. Their salted egg is on point. One of my mums favourite Chinese restaurants and always her go to for a yummy tasty meal. The service and ambience is impeccable and is always packed. The last dish which looks like pasta is actually not fettuccine or pasta at all but tofu skin. Was a something unique and quite tasty

Tried several dishes here and was pleasantly surprised. The queue looked long, they said there were 15 names ahead, but we only waited around 10 minutes before getting seated. The food also came out quickly, which was great. The sauteed bamboo shoots were nicely done, tender and flavorful without being tough or overly fibrous. I also enjoyed the crispy eel in Wuxi style, it was crunchy, and coated in a sauce that added just the right touch of sweetness. The sweet and sour chicken was okay, a classic dish done in a standard way, nothing surprising but still enjoyable. The Shanghai-style fried rice was was aromatic, well-seasoned, and had that familiar comfort-food feel. The sautéed beef cubes with honey sauce were good too. The beef was tender. It came with mushrooms which went well together. My favorite might be the Sichuan sliced beef brisket with lamian. It was spicy and I added a bit of black vinegar, which made it even better. Overall, a good meal with fast service and a surprisingly short wait time. Would come back to try more dishes!

It’s probably been 10 or 15 years since I last ate here — and it’s still as popular as ever! Located inside Plaza Indonesia, this restaurant is always busy. The food? Delicious. The menu? Tons of variety. The prices? Surprisingly affordable! Perfect spot for celebrating birthdays or gathering with friends. Highly recommended!
